The Coffee Belt: Where Coffee Grows

Coffee grows commercially only within a tropical band roughly between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn, widely called the coffee belt or bean belt. What Is the Coffee Belt?
The coffee belt is the tropical zone between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn (roughly 23.5°N to 23.5°S). Which Regions Make Up the Coffee Belt?

That's also why coffee origins are usually marketed by specific region rather than by whole country: a farm's elevation and microclimate matter more than which side of the equator it sits on.
The Caribbean stretch of the belt is a good example. Jamaica sits well inside the tropics, but it's the elevation of its Blue Mountains, not the island's latitude, that lets a single, legally defined growing area produce coffee prized enough to be sold under its own name rather than the country's alone.
